The interest of the business people from Bogotá in software testing was well demonstrated last Friday, April 7th when they went in a massive way at the breakfast-conference convoked by Choucair Testing S.A., which counted with a dissertation of Rick Craig, American expert in software testing.

Attendees are clear software tests are a tool which reduces significantly the risk of errors in software applications, which is translated in savings for their companies.

In the breakfast - conference were executives of companies of telecommunications, finances, energy and manufacture of Bogotá, the second city in Colombia with a Choucair Testing's office S.A.

This company, which was born in Medellín six years ago, has spent the same time in a continuous effort for fomenting the culture of software testing in Colombia.

Choucair Testing S.A. is a pioneer of the process in Colombia, has realized more than 1.000 tests projects for its clients and now wants to strengthen its presence in Bogotá.

The essence of the meeting with the business people from Bogotá was to allow them a pleasant conversation with Maria Clara Choucair and Rick Craig. This one assured Colombia goes the right way as for software testing.

Craig, who has earned the appellative of "guru of the Software Testing", is an experienced manager of testing projects and a consultant of Software Quality Engineering (SQE).

Likewise, he has worked with hundreds of companies from Europe, Asia, Australia and America, in the improvement of the practices of the Software Testing. He has been editor of the "Software Quality Management" magazine, member of MENSA of America and Colonel of the Sailors' Body of the Reserve of The United States. 

Choucair Testing’s team of engineers have also gotten the benefit of Craig's knowledge, on having received direct formation in testing applied to the computer programs.

Choucair has certified its functional tests product in the construction stage with ISO 9000:2000 and in this moment it looks for the certification of its testing analysts with ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualification Board).
